Data Centre World 2023

The Leoch Battery team joined one of the UK’s premier event for data centre professionals and end users at Data Centre World London in March this year.

It was a fantastic experience, with more than 14,000 attendees over the two-day event.

Leoch Battery UK’s extensive stand was both well attended and well received. Many visitors came seeking us out specifically for batteries, advice and enquiries. We will definitely be back in 2024!

Leoch Battery UK was established in 2020 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Leoch Battery PTE aiming to expand our globally renowned brand of lead acid and lithium batteries in the UK and Ireland. We partner with major OE manufactures, distributors and service providers as well as B2B customers who use our products.

Leoch’s mantra of “Think Globally, Act Locally” is possible through our growing network of sales offices, distributors and stocking locations, worldwide.

Traditionally, lead acid batteries have been selected for UPS systems, offering tried and tested performance and cost of ownership. Leoch offers extensive ranges of Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) batteries engineered for reliable back-up power. Our products are ideally suited to satisfy client design life preference, project budgets and crucially, the high-rate power requirements of the most demanding UPS applications.

As we look to the future, our lithium cells and batteries will continue to offer essential and alternative solutions in the UPS market. Specifiers, suppliers and clients are keener than ever to evaluate the benefits of lithium phosphate chemistry and its technical capabilities. We are working closely with OEMs to develop class-leading lithium products for a variety of applications and power needs.

Within our UPS lead acid battery production, Leoch’s top of the range offering is the 15 year design life PLX range of Pure Lead plate batteries. TPPL (Thin Plate Pure Lead) VRLA blocs are optimised for extreme high-rate applications, faster recharge capability and long design life.

Supplied as standard in UL94 V0 flame retardant cases, Leoch’s PLX range includes top termination and front termination alternatives, giving multiple installation advantages and maintenance accessibility options.

Next, Leoch’s XP series is a 12 year design life AGM VRLA battery range, optimised for UPS applications. Engineered using advanced TTP technologies, they offer ultra-high power discharge rates and high consistency for multiple string applications in popular UK case sizes.

Finally to complement Leoch’s PLX and XP ranges is the LHR series of AGM VRLA battery blocs and cells. LHR batteries offer 16 years design life (2 volt cells) and up to 12 years design life (12 volt blocs) with an extensive capacity range to cover any UPS load, discharge rate and performance.

Both the XP and the LHR ranges are available in standard cases and flame retardant case versions.
